About the Road Pitch
The FreshTracks Capital Road Pitch is Vermont's premier entrepreneurial pitch event. The event features a group of investors, entrepreneurs, coaches and mentors who travel the state by motorcycle and hear entrepreneurs pitch their business startup ideas. 2018 was Bennington's fifth year participating in the Road Pitch series, and we have developed a strong reputation for fielding competitive pitches.
The Pitches
To qualify for the Bennington Road Pitch, entrepreneurs were selected by a panel of judges during the preliminary round. Each pitch follows a 7 minute format, strictly timed, and is followed by 8 minutes of Q&A from the panelists. The local Road Pitch event was on Tuesday, July 31 from 5 to 7 pm at Oldcastle Theatre. Panelists consisted of about 30 Road Pitch riders The winner of that event (Kirsh Helmets) received a $500 cash prize, and entry to the statewide “pitch-off” at Champlain College on October 17. The winner of the October pitch-off will be awarded a $5,000 cash prize plus a year of mentoring from the panel.
